"Refuge A" on the Olympus mountain is located at an altitude of 2.100 meters.

It is open every day from 6:00am to 10:00pm from middle May up to the end of October.

It has beds for 110 people and two dining-rooms with fireplace. Its restaurant is always open (until 9:00pm).

Some trails and locations you can visit from Refuge A to the nearby mountains tops are:

• Refuge A to Mytikas, the top of Mt. Olympus at 2,918m altitude, by the "Skala" ("Stairs") trail.
   
• Refuge A - "Zonaria" - "Louki" - Mytikas
   
• Refuge A - "Skala" - "Skolio", the second highest top of Mt. Olympus at 2,912m altitude- "Agios Antonios"
   
• Refuge A - "Oropedio Mouson" (Muses' Highlands)- "Chr. Kakalos" & "G. Apostolidis" Refuges - "Profitis Helias"
   
• Refuge A - "Stefani", the location known as the Throne of Zeus.
